Writer, wife, mom, professional Googler. I don’t narrow my interests to one topic. I love to write about people, culture, science, food, health, and humor.  I believe there is a story behind every face,  and the mundane is really a minefield for life lessons.

I am also a jazz vocalist, painter, triathlete, and am finishing up work on my third book, Driving in Circles: Staying Sane while Taxiing Teenagers.  I just made up that last sentence, but I did win $10,000 once in a 100-word essay contest.  Honest to goodness.

I live in Texas with one husband, five children, and a dog. I can often be found blogging over here, under the name of The Pretend Texas Farmer.
